Prof. Izabella Grzegory decorated with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta
The Order of Polonia Restituta is a Polish state civilian decoration awarded for outstanding merits in the service of the state and society.
On June 20, 2023, a ceremony of awarding decoration took place at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, which was directed by prof. Marek Konarzewski, president of the Polish Academy of Sciences on behalf of President Andrzej Duda.
Prof. Izabella Grzegory was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta in recognition of her outstanding merits for the development of the Polish national economy based on advanced semiconductor technologies. Prof. Grzegory's activities are aimed at strengthening Poland's position as one of the world leaders in the production of gallium nitride (GaN) crystals of the highest structural quality and their use in the production of innovative power electronics devices.
